Welcome to the Christleton Blog. This is the best place to check what is happening as I tend to mention here any new items or features to the website as and when they happen and give a link to where you will find them. But I would encourage you to click around the site and explore. You are currently in the main part and you will find links to two other main sections. The Christleton War Voices which has an immense amount of information about Christleton in World War I. The other is Christleton 3 which is rich in photographs and includes two regular monthly features. Wildlife Watch and The History File. Enjoy.
No charge for the many hours it takes building and maintaining the website but there are a number of other costs including hosting, domain registration and additional software which all add up. Just you starting your Amazon shopping by clicking on the banner above will help a lot. Thank you.
Each year Ben Williams makes a beautiful clock which is raffled at the Christleton Village Show in July. This year the lucky winner was Alf Croston. Ben wishes to thank all those persons who bought raffle tickets. A sum of 75 pounds was raised from the raffle which was sent to the Hospice of the Good Shepherd. Ben received a letter of thanks from the Hospice saying the donation was much appreciated.
Christleton Village Show held on Saturday 15th July, 2017 was opened by Counsellor Stuart Parker and his wife Counsellor Margaret Parker. Over 100 photographs of the Hanging Basket Competition as well as entries and the cup winners are now on the website spread over three pages.
